Corporal Frans was a member of Company A, 1st Battalion, 38th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division. He was listed as Missing in Action while fighting the enemy in South Korea on February 12, 1951 and presumed dead on January 18, 1954. However, there is information that he may have been taken prisoner and died on a Death March to prison camp. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial. |
