Master Sergeant Russavage was a veteran of World War II. In Korea, he was a member of Headquarters Company, 1st Battalion, 32nd Infantry Regiment, 7th Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action while fighting the enemy in North Korea on November 28, 1950. His remains were recovered on December 23, 1993 and identified on January 7, 2003. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
